Vet’s Ride for Suicide Awareness

Get ready for an exhilarating tribute to honor our heroes with the Vets Ride for Suicide Awareness on August 17, 2024.  Organized by the Chautauqua Dwyer Veterans Peer to Peer Program and the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County, this motorcycle run promises a day of thrill, unity, and support.

This exciting event kicks off a the Sheridan VFW Post 6390 (2556 NY-20, Silver Creek, NY 14136).  Registration opens at 10:00 AM and lasts until 11:50 pm, with kickstands up at 12:00 PM sharp.  The celebration doesn’t end there–join us for an unforgettable afterparty from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Riders can register for $20, while passengers only pay $5.  The event emphasizes a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.  The ride will feature a dedicated police escort, ensuring a secure and smooth journey for all participants.

Sponsored by the Chautauqua Dwyer Peer to Peer Program and the Suicide Prevention Alliance of Chautauqua County, the event offers an array of activities.  Engage in basket raffles, hourly 50/50 drawings, and explore various vendors.  The day will be filled with live music, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout.

This initiative aims to raise awareness and support for suicide prevention among veterans.  All proceeds from the event go directly to the Dwyer Peer to Peer Program, contributing to vital mental health initiatives.
