Join us for the Talk Saves Lives training session, a comprehensive and engaging program offered by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). This session aims to educate participants about essential aspects of suicide prevention, providing the knowledge and tools needed to make a positive impact in our community.

Training Overview:

  • Purpose: To increase awareness about suicide, reduce stigma, and equip individuals with practical strategies to support those at risk. The training is grounded in the latest research and evidence-based practices.
  • Content:
    • Understanding Suicide: Insight into risk factors, warning signs, and myths surrounding suicide.
    • Prevention Strategies: Practical advice on intervening and supporting individuals with suicidal thoughts.
    • Resources: Information on local and national resources available for help and support.
  • Format: This 1.5-hour training will be conducted as a “lunch and learn” session. Please bring your lunch with you to enjoy during the training. The session will include interactive elements, real-life examples, and opportunities for discussion to enhance learning and engagement.
  • Audience: Suitable for community members, educators, health professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about suicide prevention.
  • Outcome: Gain a deeper understanding of suicide, learn to recognize warning signs, and feel more confident in your ability to support those in need. Our goal is to foster a more informed and compassionate community, ultimately saving lives through education and action.
